Taking a year out of dentistry and intercalated degrees

During my fourth and fifth years of dental school I decided to undertake an intercalated degree in Philosophy at King’s College London. Whilst a daunting prospect it allowed me to develop numerous new skills which I believe have helped me a great deal in my career and led to my interest in healthcare ethics and law.
